Firm, focused pressure into stubborn knots in the back, neck and shoulders — ideal after long drives on mountain roads or hours in an airplane seat.
About This Treatment
Deep tissue massage works slowly through the layers of muscle and fascia to reach tension that a lighter massage passes over. Your therapist uses forearms, thumbs and elbows at a pressure you control, holding on tight spots until they release rather than gliding over them.
Sixty minutes is enough for one region — usually upper back, neck and shoulders. If you carry tension in the lower back and hips as well, 90 or 120 minutes gives your therapist time to work both without rushing. Tell us where it hurts when you message and we will plan the session around it.
Transparent Pricing
All prices in US dollars and Costa Rican colones. No hidden fees, no travel surcharge inside the GAM.
What You Get
Questions
It should feel like strong, productive pressure, never sharp pain. Your therapist checks your pressure through the session and adjusts immediately when you ask — you are always in control of how deep the work goes.
Some people feel mild soreness for a day, like after a workout. Drinking water and moving gently helps. Tell your therapist if you have a tour or a hike planned the next morning and they will keep the pressure moderate.
